Hello there Dev,First of all I would like to say that I have been using qttabbar for year now and it has been a real pleasure getting acquainted with such a "swiss army tool" for enhancing the mundane explorer…I was hoping that someone might helping me with creating script for remembering file list selections in explorer…i.e Say that in a folder there a large number of files with different names and you have to select some random files(using ctrl+clicking|ctl+mouse drag|selection checkbox) …after making a large selection, you accidentally misclick and your list of selection is lost….It is very frustrating to make your selection start from scracth again….So it would be really helpful is Qttabbar script was made to address such an issue…(a plugin would be welcome of course)ThanksNB(for scripting help you may refer to qttabar>help>scripting

So I've been trying to get QTTabBar to install on Windows 10 1607 however no matter whether I try and install it via Chocolatey or by downloading the install, it never installs, Chocolatey silently fails which is great and the graphical installer fails when trying to install with a "Failed to extract files" error and something related to "NGEN state:" I made use of the logging functionality and that results in the following information:

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this issue shy of nuking this god awful excuse for an operating system and relegate it to the pits of hell in exchange for reverting back to 8.1 where things just seemed to work, let me know.

Hello,

Media preview is a great feature in QTTabBar, however it would be a nice option to only activate it when needed. Does this exist?

For example, when you hold down the shift key it disables media preview.

Alternatively, is there a way to reverse this and only activate media preview when holding down the shift key?

BUG: QTTabBar prevents CTRL-O in foobar2000 from working

QTTabBar breaks foobar2000's CTRL-O "Open the Containing Folder" command:

Pressing CTRL-O while using the popular free music player foobar2000 is "Open the Containing Folder". It opens the directory in Windows Explorer and highlights the music file.

QTTabBar breaks this behavior. CTRL-O opens the Directory, but does NOT highlight the file.

A second press of CTRL-O within foobar2000 does nothing.

Oddly, manually right-clicking the song and selecting "Open Containing Folder" a second time finally highlights the file in QTTabBar.

Steps I have taken to solve the problem:
I have disabled QTTabBar's own CTRL-O keyboard shortcut. It did not help.

Please help, this is otherwise the perfect tabbed Explorer extension that you have written.

BTW: Your forum is filling up with spam.

Windows 10 - QTTabBar ver 1038

Try this:

1) make sure you have more than one tab open

2) make the explorer window any size smaller than maximized

3) hit the close window button

This won't close explorer, but close each open tab one by one.

Is this by design or a bug?

If it is by design, how do we disable it so the window closes?

I also notice this happens sometimes in a maximized window.

Every time i dbl click on utorrent to open folder it blocks the list after first dbl click, i need to wait till it unblocks and that happens only when it re open the already opened folder again, yes it opens it with delay , always two times (mine once and automatically second), i know this can work, it works in clover (but it is shitty soft), but not in QT TAB BAR

PLEASE can we have the SOURCE CODE to fix it???

With this Spacer plugin i can't place multiple spacer to a QT Command Bar! Only one. :(
Would be nice when we get i spacer button (adjustable size, margins, etc).
Also some parameters for the seperator would be great (size, opacity, etc).

And i love this tools since many years! Thanks man!!!

I had a problem where I installed a fresh copy of windows 7 and tried to install QTTabars 1038 and it didn't work. The dlls weren't running like they were suppose to. This was really frustrating and I found the solution. What you'll need:

1038
1.5.0.0b2.msi

1. install 1038
2. install 1.5.0 beta 2
3. Right-click on the toolbar and theres something called QTTASK or something like that, its that the very bottom of the list, make sure thats checked
4. uninstall 1.5.0 beta 2
5. install 1038 again.
6. Everything should work fine now.

Checking QTTASK enables 1038 and there is something that 1.5.0 beta 2 does that 1038 needs, not sure what but it works.

On my particular PC, even when I enabled 1038, The command bar wouldn't show for some reason. But problem solved and I hope this helps someone.

I'm unsure what I have changed on my system that could have possibly caused this issue, but QTTabBar was working one day just fine and now all of a sudden I can't see any tabs at all. I have imported my settings from another computer, I have uninstalled and reinstalled. But the option to even use the tab bar is not available under View->options.

I tried to post an image of the optiosn. my only options are:

Change folder and search options
extra view (left)
qt command bar (vertical)
extra view (bottom)
qttabbar - bottom

I can't add "open in new tab" to context menu although I had already enable it in the settings.
The option always return to uncheck state after rebooting the windows. Please help!
