Hi… I've been trying out qttabbar for a few days now, and I like many of its features.
However I've determined that the tab system isn't for me (at least *for now*), I'm too used to the single-window system in Windows and I'm not a fan of having control panel windows open up in the tab system… Yes, I know it's an explorer window technically, but still.
However I'd like to keep qttabbar around because of some features I really like in it…
There are two things of note for me:
- If you disable the tab bar from the explorer, it seems to disable most of qttabbar, even if you're using other features. The menu that opens up when you click the small arrow in the navigation area (allowing you to go through history quickly) is no longer handled by qttabbar. I'm thinking that one doesn't need the tab bar to enjoy the ability to see what folders are no longer found in the history (e.g. deleting a folder and then trying to navigate back through history.)
- In the Events settings, I can set the Navigation tree view's middle click to 'none', which I did. However, if you middle click, qttabbar will still move focus to the closest folder in the tree view. The default Windows behavior is to activate the currently viewed folder (from the folder view). I always middle-click the tree view when I want to delete the folder I'm currently viewing. As of now, I either have to manually click the folder, or double-click the folder view to go up in the folder structure (which, admittedly, is another cool feature!)
Any way to fix these..?
Thanks! :)
