When the Free Inneva Woven first hit the scene back in 2012, its intricate nylon woven upper paired with a Free 5.0 sole unit was revolutionary in both design and fit. Four years later, the Nike Sportswear silhouette continues to stay fresh with new releases. Straying from the favoured colourblocking techniques Nike colourists have used previously on Innevas, the latest version weaves black and ‘Sail’ together for a interesting upper finish that matches the black leather heel panel and white leather tongue. The Free sole unit is coloured in matching off-white Sail with black outsole highlights, and the finished overall package is a clean offering that OG Inneva loyalists and new fans alike would gravitate towards.
The Nike Free Hypervenom 2 is coming in strong with its new ‘Action Red’ colourway. The Hypervenom’s vibrant vermillion shade gets busy across the upper, while a big black Swoosh sweeps across the inside of the toe. The upper joins the 3.0 Free sole with a strip of marbled black and white, leading down to a flexible segmented outsole. All together the sleek runner has a bold presence that’s guaranteed to stop traffic – although we do advise the responsible use of pedestrian crossings.
Nike’s running division is lengthening its stride lately.
